A unique design methane drainage drill bit.
The bit has a replaceable "screw on" head that contains all the expensive PCD's.
The head portion is sealed by means of 'O' rings to prevent rust ingress into the threaded area, and can be readily changed underground.
The current drill head price is $1400 US, & the API threaded body $350 US.
The drill was developed and fully tested at Consol.
